In the winter of 2012, two young women from Fort McMurray, Alberta founded the very first Youth Advisory Council local group ever! These girls wanted to raise awareness in a hands-on way by hosting awareness & fundraising events in their community. Over the past year, they have raised over $1500 at various events and handed out hundreds of awareness materials. The group continues to look for new members to expand their YAC projects and campaigns!
