UofA 4th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium

One. Two. Three. Four.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, we hosted our fourth annual breast cancer symposium. It was so wonderful to see people take time out of their busy schedules to attend our event. With each symposium, we are educating more and more people about breast cancer, preventative techniques, and possible treatments.

This March 17, Saskatoon was shining pink, as the city enjoyed delicious baked-goods while creating a milestone for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council- Saskatoon.

Breast Health Week @ UofA

This October, we saw tons of great events from Youth Advisory Council’s across the region, including bake sales, healthy living days, free yoga drop in events and more! Youth Advisory Council UofA really blew us away this year with their 2nd Annual Breast Health Week on campus!

Off to a great start in their second year on campus, Youth Advisory Council University of Manitoba kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a bake sale on campus.

Sweet Treats for CIBC Run for the Cure

Congratulations to Youth Advisory Council Calgary and the huge success of the bake sale that took place at Dr. E. P. Scarlett High School on October 1st! We would like to give a shout out to all the volunteers for their time and effort! In just 30 minutes, we raised over $300!

Destination: India

Just thinking about my trip to India would give me a jolt of excitement, then nervousness and soon followed with just a bit of fear! At 16 years old, this would be the furthest and the longest that I would be away. Back in the planning stage, my parents asked why I didn’t check with my friends and see if someone could join me. Right from the start, I knew I could do it on my own. For me this trip was about helping to make a different in my global community, but it was also about finding my courage.
